Description
Hangover Bay is a popular recreation site within Nambung National Park, home of the Pinnacles Desert. The site has a high degree of environmental sensitivity due to the existence of a damp land system behind the frontal dunes and the proximity of the Jurien Bay Marine Park. Contractors will be required to ensure the utmost protection of areas outside of the scope of works. The bay is located off Indian Ocean Drive approximately 12 km South of Cervantes. The road into the bay is sealed, then becomes gravel, leading to two formal gravel car parks with toilet facilities, interpretive material, picnic tables, pedestrian beach access and BBQ’s. The current Hangover Bay car park and recreation facility was constructed over 15 years ago and now requires an upgrade.
