Description

QUU is advancing its Program Management Approach (PMA) initiative which involves transitioning from an asset centric organisation to a customer centric organisation. A key strategy in achieving this transition is to set in place enhanced procurement strategies based upon longer term engagements in line with QUU’s investment periods, thereby moving beyond the current annual delivery cycle.

As part of our Program Management Approach (PMA) journey we are implementing efficient delivery frameworks and new ways of working.

QUU are now inviting offers to respond to the Invitation to Offer for the Water and Wastewater Networks Capital Works Programs.

Offerors are advised that QUU has developed a delivery strategy for water and wastewater capital infrastructure. These procurement activities are being conducted in parallel.

The procurement structure is as follows:

Wastewater Networks

The anticipated Wastewater Networks (WWN) Program will involve two contracts:

(a) C1819 – Wastewater Metropolitan Program (WWMP) which includes S1 – S5 catchments; and

(b) C1820 – Wastewater Regional Program (WWRP) which includes S6 - S7 catchments, Ipswich and Regional Councils.

Water Networks

(a) C1817 – Water Northern Zones Program (WNZP) which includes zones north of the Brisbane River, Lockyer Valley and Somerset Council; and

(b) C1818 – Water Southern Zones Program (WSZP) which includes zones south of the Brisbane River, Ipswich and Scenic Rim Council areas.

The anticipated scope of works under the Water program of works will include multi-disciplinary engineering design and construction of brownfield and greenfield infrastructure such as:

(i) Trunk water mains and catchments, specifically trunk main renewals, new trunk mains, valves and couplings, DMA creation, PRV’s and network flow meters;

(ii) Reticulation water mains, specifically reactive renewal programs, proactive renewal programs, fire flow improvements and service improvements;

(iii) Reservoirs, specifically renewals and new assets including: roofs and associated access and security equipment, concrete reservoir structures and associated electrical and control systems and equipment; and
