Golden Beach SS GLA Refurbishment (with design responsibility)

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of the GLA Refurbishment
Project at Golden Beach State School, located at 34 Gregory St, Golden Beach QLD 4551, as part of the School Infrastructure
Enhancement program.

The works includes new joinery, ceilings, vinyl flooring, carpets and new power and data to the Prep Block Building and
Classroom 1 in Teaching Block 3.

The Prep Block and Teaching Block 3 are located in the front and centre of the school respectively with limited site access and
working space. All works are to be completed by 14 January 2022.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000.00

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are
required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
