Description
The Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) operates a Sand Bypass System (SBS) that transfers sand across the Gold Coast Seaway from The Spit at Main Beach to the Southern tip of South Stradbroke Island. The system includes:
• A low pressure pump station that draws water from the Broadwater
• A low pressure water main delivering water to the high pressure pump station
• High pressure pumps which deliver water to the jet pumps located on the jetty
The GCWA requires the services of a suitably qualified, experienced and resourced contractor to undertake Stage 1 of the Works. This Stage includes the construction of a replacement low pressure pipeline between the low pressure pump station and the high pressure pump station with modifications to the existing suction manifold to the high pressure pumps.
