For the provision of economic and financial advice in relation to water supply policy

The department is seeking an Offer to assist the DEWS Economics Unit of the Water Supply Division by providing additional resources and/or specialist advice over the 2014-15 financial year. The objective of the Economics Unit is to provide robust economic advice and analysis to support the development of evidence-based water supply policy and effective water supply infrastructure planning. The Economics Unit leads on rural and urban water pricing policy and conducts economic appraisals and analysis (including cost benefit analysis) of project or policy proposals. This engagement will assist in ensuring the Economics Unit is adequately resourced in its ongoing roles and its advice to Government.
