National Variety Trials 2024-2028

Outcome

Australian grain growers and advisors, will continue to have access to independent and locally relevant yield performance results on commercially available varieties to accelerate the adoption of superior varieties and help growers avoid the use of unsuitable varieties.

Outputs

From seeding 2024 until harvest 2028, approximately 645 small plot winter crop trials will be established to produce and collect the raw data required to generate comparative grain yield and grain quality performance results on commercially available and near to release cultivars.

Proposed Contract & Term

GRDC will contract under the terms of the NVT Trial Service Provider Contract.

The schedule(s) attached to the contract will detail the project details: the outcomes, outputs, milestones, budget, participating personnel and required intellectual property.

The template Contract containing the proposed terms and conditions is included as an attachment.

It is anticipated that any resultant contract in relation to this procurement will commence with a proposed term of 4 years plus 1 year extension by mutual agreement.
