Request for Tender for Port Geographe Reconfiguration Landscaping Works

In November 2012 the State government announced funding to change the coastal structures at Port Geographe to bring about major benefits for the environment, local residents and the wider community.

The structural changes, which include modifications to the breakwaters, altered foreshore alignment and marina entrance, integration of a lagoon and removal of groynes from the pocket beaches, will assist the natural by-passing of sand and seagrass wrack to address environmental and health issues, improve amenity and reduce ongoing annual coastal maintenance costs. Tenders are invited to undertake landscaping works for the project. The primary intention of the landscaping works is to reinstate and rehabilitate the existing landscaping affected by the reconfiguration of the coastal structures. The following list of landscaping components has been identified:

• Earthworks
• Planting
• Turf installation
• Disabled access ramp
• Electrical & Plumbing connections
• Viewing platforms
• Exposed aggregate, Asphalt & Limestone Paths and Trails
• Solar Lighting – along the paths, on and off the coastal structures.
• Seating & tables to picnic areas and throughout the site
• Toilet facility’s
• Concrete curbing (to garden bed area and turf)
• irrigation
• Rubbish bins
• BBQ facilities
• Drinking fountains & Showers
• Shade Shelters
• Nature Play areas
