Description
The services being sought by Home Affairs comprise two modules:
1. Managed Services – delivery of managed services for the Home Affairs future compute environment, and
2. Software (optional) – provision of one or more software products within the future compute environment.
Managed Services
Home Affairs is seeking to engage the market to establish a new future compute arrangement to replace the managed services component of an arrangement that has been in place since 2007. The high-level scope for the managed services is as follows:
a) Common services
b) Common security services
c) Mainframe services
d) Midrange services
e) Storage services
f) Data centre network services, and
g) Ancillary services
Software (optional)
As part of this RFT, Home Affairs is also seeking the optional provision of a subset of software licensing that is currently being provided under the current arrangement.
