Description
The Education and Children’s Services Act (2019) prescribes that the Department for Education may provide free transport for students attending primary and secondary government schools.
The objective of this procurement is to engage an accredited bus operator to undertake a bus service in regional South Australia to ensure that eligible students receive the required transport to attend their local government school.
The services is from the Chandada/Inkster area to Karcultaby Area School.
The bus service will be funded by the department (and free for students). The students will be transported in both the morning (am) and afternoon (pm) during school days and will need to be transported in a safe and timely manner in a suitably sized and roadworthy registered bus.
The service is to commence on 30 January 2023 for a base term of 2 years, 11 months, 2 days. There will be two (2) one (1) year extension options dependent on the department’s needs based on the School Transport Policy.
