Helicopter Services for Passive Seismic Surveys

Geoscience Australia currently has passive seismic monitoring equipment deployed at 119 sites in the Northern Territory and Queensland. Geoscience Australia seeks to charter a helicopter to undertake two service visits to these instruments, followed by an instrument pick-up and re-deployment to new site locations as outlined in table 1 below. Monitoring sites are on a regular grid ½ degree or approximately 55 km apart. Instruments will only be deployed on the mainland, not on the offshore islands. It is possible at the time of new instrument deployments that we may deploy up to 135 sites.
