Description
The works involve the upgrade of Bushfire Access Track 8 at Beecroft Weapons Range (BWR).
Track 8 on the Northern boundary is impassable, once improved this will provide strategic fire advantage to the Northern fire zone of BWR.
The works include:
- Re-grading, widening and compaction of the existing track.
- Maintenance of drainage features such as table drains, turnouts and concrete fords.
- The cleared vegetation sections will have new pavements installed as well as associated longitudinal drainage.
- The impassable sections will be upgraded with rockfill embankments and culverts. Works include supply of material and civil works to achieve the engineering specification.
- The installation of road signage and guide posts.
