Description
On behalf of the Public Transport Authority, personnel at the Kewdale Prospector Maintenance Depot undertake rollingstock maintenance on Prospector Railcars. Rollingstock maintenance activities rely on the use of a wide variety of fixed and mobile plant and equipment. A particular class of equipment the PTA has and is looking to expand upon, is metalwork equipment, which is used by tradespeople to create, manufacture, modify, repair and service rail car components, personalised tooling and task specific equipment. There are four core items the PTA is looking to source, a Centre Lathe, a Milling Machine, a Manual Panbrake and a Hydraulic Press.
