Permanent Road Reinstatement Services

South East Water provides a 24/7 emergency response to maintenance requirements on its water and sewer network using its Maintenance Contractors. Following the rectification of the fault the surfaces are temporarily reinstated by these Maintenance Contractors.

The Permanent Reinstatement Services Work stream is to provide the permanent reinstatement of all the ‘paved’ surfaces. South East Water intends to engage up to two Principal Contractors to undertake this permanent reinstatement on their behalf based upon geographical location and local council area. The services will be provided under a Schedule of Rates contract and will incorporate all materials, labour, plant and equipment necessary to carry out the services including all traffic management requirements.

The successful Principal Contractors will be responsible for all aspects of the reinstatement process. Permanent Reinstatement Services/Activities include but are not limited to:

a) Reinstatement of all concrete and asphalt surfaces including driveways and footpaths which can also be on private property

b) Reinstatement of kerb & channel

c) Paving

d) Line Marking

e) Removal and disposal of any temporary reinstatement material

f) All necessary profiling

g) All traffic management requirements

h) All necessary permits and approvals

i) Communication with South East Water customers

j) Dilapidation photos prior to executing any permanent reinstatement works

1. Local Jobs First

The Invitee must complete a Local Industry Development Plan (LIDP) through ICN Victoria’s VMC at icnvic.org.au/ljf.

2.Fair Jobs Code

The invitee will need to have a Fair Jobs Code Pre-Assessment Certificate.

3.VicRoads Prequalified Register

Suppliers need to be on VicRoads prequalified register and provide proof or registration for the relevant categories.
