WA Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions
Jabitj Trail Upgrades
Details
Description
The Department has incrementally been improving the Wellington National Park mountain bike and walk trails as part of the Collie Adventure Trails Project. Stage 1 trails adjacent to the Kiosk Precinct were completed in 2022. Stage 3 trails west of River Road were completed in 2024. The final component of the trail works is to upgrade the existing hikers only Jabitj Trail to a dual direction, dual use pathway. This will link the Stage 3 trails and existing Mount Lennard Network to the kiosk.
The Contractor will be responsible for upgrading the existing Jabitj Trail including realignment of a section of the trail to avoid an identified Aboriginal Site, trail widening and drainage improvement works and rehabilitation works
