Description of the goods and services to be provided

The Geological Survey of NSW's (GSNSW) Economic Rock and Mineral Collection (ERMC) and the Fossil Collections contains roughly 30k+ samples of rare and valuable ore specimens from deposits all over NSW including underexplored Critical Mineral deposits. The collection is a significant scientific reference collection for the study and education of the state's geoscience. Most specimens are from active areas of exploration and mining and directly relate to minerals systems studies conducted by GSNSW and the industry. This reference collection forms the basis for the State’s inventory of rocks and maps as seen on NSW Resources online viewer ‘MinView’. To design and build a robust storage solution to house the ERMC that ensures the specimens are preserved under optimal conditions for long-term care and will have capacity for future expansion. The new storage must be: Protected from humidity, UV light, dust and insectsSecure and lockableEasily accessible for researchDesign a suitable storage unit and mezzanine floorConstruct the storage unit solution and mezzanine floor
