Clara Rock Beacon Installation - 2015

The Queensland Government is seeking tenders to undertake the installation of a new port lateral mark beacon at Clara Rock in the Brisbane River and extract the existing damaged port lateral beacon.

The major items included in the Works are as follows:

1. Supply and fabricate 16m long, 356mm diameter x 12.7 thick mild steel pile.
2. Transport pile to work site.
3. Pre-bore suitable hole into rock seabed.
4. Handle, pitch and install pile.
5. Supply and install Denso Seashield 2000FD or approved equivalent pile protection system.
6. Supply, fabricate and galvanise pile cap.
7. Cut pile at correct height and supply and install weld-on pile cap.
8. Supply and install corrosion protection system to pile cap and welded pile cap splice with Denso Steelcoat 100 protection system or equivalent.
9. Supply, fabricate and install 1400mm diameter work platform, port lateral daymark complete with platform mounted daymark frame and lampstand.
10. Supply, fabricate and install galvanised steel ladder, complete with clamps to the orientation on the beacon as shown on the drawings.
11. Removal and disposal of concrete pile, existing work platform and associated furniture.

This contract does not include:

1. Removal of the navigation light from the work platform of the existing beacon.
2. Installation of navigation light into installed work platform of replacement beacon.
