Sarina Railway Station - Mackay Region Visitor Information Centre

Mackay Regional Council is seeking suitably qualified and resourced professionals to undertake refurbishments to the Sarina Railway Station building and adapt the re-use of the building as the new Mackay Region Visitors Information Centre as further outlined in Tender Schedule 8.

The project involves partial demolition of timber outbuildings and items within the existing prefabricated concrete building, to provide a ‘clean’ shell for its adaptive re-use, and repair and fit-out works as described by the design documentation. All works, including the forming of new openings, reinstatement of windows and doors to match existing, provision of services, and interior works, shall take into account the heritage value of the Railway Station building.
