Details
Description
The Department is seeking Proposals from relevant organisations and/or consortia, for the following Services. A lead organisation for the consortia should be declared, this organisation will hold the legal obligations under any contract that may be entered into.
Project 1- patient-friendly tools and resources for consumers
The Department is seeking proposals to create new – or further enhance existing – CQR tools/resources designed specifically for consumers. The purpose of these tools/resources is to help patients, and/or their families and carers to:
- understand more about their treatment processes and treatment outcomes;
- weigh up different treatment options with their doctor; and/or
- compare their outcomes or experiences to others with the same condition, or who have undergone the same treatment.
Project 2 - establishing best practice for registry-based trials
The Department is seeking proposals to develop a publicly available, practical Guide on the use of CQRs as a platform for clinical trials.
The purpose of the Guide is to increase understanding of:
- the types of CQRs and interventions that are most suitable for registry-based trials
- what resources, capacity, and capability is required for a CQR to conduct registry-based trials
- best practice methodologies and approaches for undertaking registry-based trials
- how to evaluate registry-based trials for value and impact
The Guide should be tailored for three key audiences: national CQR operators; clinical trial researchers; and policy makers/ funders. It must also include practical resources, such as decision trees, checklists, etc, as appropriate.
