Description
Tender is for the demolition of the Hall Street Hall (Hall Street, Whyalla Stuart), Taylor Street Hall, (Taylor Street, Whyalla Stuart), and the old Steel United Soccer Clubroom and Toilet (Penglase Street, Whyalla Playford).
Tender is for the demolition and removal of all buildings, fittings and other structural features, eg internal fencing, sheds, etc.Any external fencing to remain.
Site after completion of works will be left clean of any demolished materials.Ground surface is to be level so that it can be walked across at ease.If sites are not left in the required condition, Council will process to engage another contractor for clean up, and cost will be deducted from the original contractor.A Contract Superintendent will inspect sites and will sign off on them before payment.
Council will accept only clean concrete and bricks free of any steel at the Mount Young Quarry.There will not be any charge to the contractor; however, the material will then become the property of Council.
All materials from the sites are the property of the contractor except for material delivered to Mount Young Quarry.
Council will disconnect any services on the sites.Asbestos will be removed prior to demolition; however, if asbestos is found on site, work must stop immediately and reported to a Contract Superintendent.
Every endeavour should be made to recycle (eg metal, timbers, etc).
A site meeting is to be arranged with the Contract Superintendent prior to work commencing.
