Description
The Department of Defence is seeking the services of a contractor to develop, implement and manage the Defence Alumni Network (DAN).The DAN will be a web based social networking site designed to enable ex-service personnel to get ‘connected’.The DAN will be established on the internet external to Defence and staffed by a contractor with specialist expertise in marketing, communications and recruiting.TheDAN will initially target former permanent ADF members and create a large pool of people who are positively disposed to the Services. DAN members will be supplied with regular information, events, the opportunity to network with their former mates, and other activities designed to attract and engage them.Service career management agencies will use DAN to identify key targets for re-recruitment, and contractor staff of the DAN will then carefully market tailored information on opportunities to personnel with the required skills.An industry briefing is to be conducted at Brindabella Park Offices, 33-35 Brindabella Circuit, Brindabella Business Park, Canberra Airport, ACT. commencing at 10:00 AM Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Thursday, 16 December 2010. Nominations to attend the briefing shall be forwarded in writing/email to the Contact Officer specified in clause 1.4 by 16:00 pm AEST Tuesday, 14 December 2010. The following details are required:a. tenderer’s name and location; and
b. full name of tenderer’s representative.Industry briefings are conducted for the purpose of providing background information only. Tenderers should note the effect of Conditions of Tender clauses 1.3.1 and 2.4.2a. Tenderers shall not rely on a statement made at the industry briefing as amending or adding to this RFT unless that amendment or addition is confirmed by the Commonwealth in writing
