Description

The Australian Antarctic Division of the Department of the Environment and Energy based in Hobart is responsible for leading, coordinating and delivering the Australian Antarctic program.

The Australian Antarctic Strategy (launched by the Prime Minister in Hobart on 27 April 2016) sets out Australia’s national Antarctic interests and our vision for Australia’s future engagement in Antarctica. It recognises Australia’s strong strategic and scientific interests in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean, and sets out actions to support these over 20 years.

The Strategy’s accompanying 20 Year Action Plan addresses the need for a scoping study to be conducted into options for a Year Round Aviation Access (YRAA) capability in the Antarctic.

In support of the Year Round Aviation Access Project, the Customer is requesting provision of Rotary Coring Equipment and supporting spare parts / consumables (together ‘the Goods’).
