TAS Department of Education
The Collective Life
Details
Description
Aboriginal Education Services (AES) is seeking to develop a series of multimedia curriculum resources for schools dealing with a range of topics and information with Aboriginal people and historians.
The Collective Life Project uses ethnographic sources and recent anthropological concepts to write an account of the collective life of Tasmanian Aborigines at the end of the 18th century. The ethnographic sources were generated by several colonial writers, both French and British. Much of the information came from Aboriginal informants, although we cannot assume that the recorders always understood what they were told, or that what they were told was accurately recorded.
TenderHub gathers information continuously from a variety of sources. There may be delays between information being updated at the source and presented here. Always check with the source if you are concerned about currency or accuracy.
