HER MAJESTY’S THEATRE – STRUCTURAL AND SERVICES UPGRADING

The works will be tendered as a lump sum contract and comprise substantially of structural upgrading with some services upgrading. It is proposed that the Tender Call for the project will be in November / December 2000. This is a popular venue with a program of continuous bookings. The successful contractor therefore will be required to complete the works within a limited contract period (12 weeks) to avoid cancellations and associated loss of revenue. Registrations will be assessed on project specific responses received to the following criteria:  Evidence of ability to work in heritage listed buildings with restricted access.  Evidence of ability to complete retrofit projects within a defined program.  Evidence of technical ability to carry out the proposed works.  Evidence of ability to successfully manage a team of subcontractors.  Proposed key personnel to undertake the works with curriculum vitae.  Methodology for undertaking defects rectification in a timely manner. A short list will be determined from the Registration of Interest responses received. Registrations will only be considered from DAIS tenderers who are Prequalified General Building Contractors in Category 3 at the time tenders close. No registration will necessarily be accepted.
