REDFIN 1B - Infrastructure - Long Range Patrol Radio System - Fixed Control Stations at various locations

Installation of Long Range Patrol Radio System –Fixed Control Stations located at Campbell Barracks (Perth, WA), Holsworthy Barracks (Sydney, NSW), Defence Establishment Howard Springs (Darwin, NT) and Lavarack Barracks (Townsville, QLD) and includes the supply, construction/installation and commissioning of:

(a)base stations;

(b)rotating head log periodic antennas;

(c)erection of new and replacement communication towers and masts as required;

(d)high frequency near vertical incidence skywave antennas;

(e)ultra high frequency satellite ground station communications antennas; and

(f)minor buildings works involving construction of equipment shelters at nominated locations.

The works at Campbell Barracks are predominately replacement of existing masts and antennas, the installation and commissioning of new high frequency satellite communication antenna, and construction of new equipment shelter.

The works at Holsworthy Barracks include the installation and commissioning of new rotating head log period antennas,installation of new mast, relocation and extension of existing masts,replacement of existing near vertical incidence skywave antennas and the installation of a new high frequency satellite communication antenna.

The works at Lavarack Barracks require the construction, installation and commissioning of new facilities including new equipment shelter and works to provide a new radio room.

The works at Defence Estate Howard Springs predominately require the construction, installation and commissioning of new facilities with the replacement of the existing rotating head log parabolic antennas and masts.
