Description

The Pilbara Development Commission requires a suitably qualified Supplier to define and scope the requirements to establish a Clean Energy Training and Research Institute (CETRI) in the Pilbara. The CETRI is part of the Activating a Regional Hydrogen Industry – Clean Hydrogen Industrial Hubs initiative of the Commonwealth Government which aims to establish a $140 million Pilbara Hydrogen Hub in collaboration with the West Australian State Government.

The requirement is to provide a detailed design for a federated multi-user, multi-hub CETRI model identifying and addressing critical issues of the education and research service providers, hub locations, the form and functions of a federated CETRI, governance and operational arrangements and the financing and grant making for establishment of the CETRI.

The CETRI will support the development of a hydrogen and clean energy workforce through training and skills development and lead cutting-edge research into hydrogen and clean energy technologies and applications. This assignment is to identify training and research providers, the locations of training and research activities, develop a governance structure, and determine the costs to establish the CETRI model.
