Central Energy Plant-Substation C1-High Voltage Replacement

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for a suitably qualified contractor to undertake works for the Central Energy Plant-Substation C1-High Voltage Replacement at the Cultural Precinct.

Arts Queensland (AQ) is the Trustee of Brisbane’s Cultural Precinct (the Precinct). The Precinct is the centrepiece of Queensland’s arts portfolio and occupies a prime location at Brisbane’s South Bank, adjacent to the city’s CBD. It is home to the State’s leading arts and cultural institutions such as the State Library of Queensland (SLQ), Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA), The Edge, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), Queensland Museum (QM) and the Queensland Art Gallery (QAG).

As the owners, Arts Queensland is responsible for the procurement and maintenance of all its electrical infrastructure assets. By carrying out regular maintenance testing on major electrical infrastructure equipment, they maintain very high quality asset condition control.

However, it has been identified that several electrical assets although in working condition are aged and nearing end of life. Having an understanding of the current condition of these equipment and comparing it with other similar equipment will provide Arts Queensland with a high level overview for future asset replacements and help with planning and forecasting a controlled asset replacement strategy.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Compliance with the Technical Specification;
• Attendance at Mandatory Industry Briefing (site inspection scheduled for 10:00am, Wednesday 17 May 2017
• Notification of intent to submit a response for the above tender by CoB Friday, 19 May 2017
• PQC Level 3 Accreditation (Contractors are required to ensure thier PQC accreditation is up to date prior to submitting a response)

MANDATORY INDUSTRY BRIEFING (MIB): A Mandatory Industry Briefing will take place at 10:00am, Wednesday 17 May 2017. Tenderers are requested to Register thier attendance by the date specified.
