Standing Offer Arrangement for the Provision of Biological Safety Cabinets

Queensland Health Pathology Laboratories require the supply of various size/models of Class II Type A2 Laminar Flow Biological Safety Cabinets (BSC) throughout Queensland Health Facilities.

The BSC’s are designed to provide protection from hazardous biological agents for personnel and the environment, and also to protect material used in the cabinet from exogenous contamination.

The Scope is to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) with suitable and experienced supplier/s for the supply of various models and sizes of Class II Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinets (BSC).

The average sizes of BSCs include but are not limited to:

- 1300mm W x 780mm D x 1500mm H

- 1500mm W x 800mm D x 1500mm H

- 1600mm W x 750mm D x 1500mm H

The objectives of the SOA are to:

- Maintain the most up-to-date technology with all equipment to assist in the delivery of health services throughout Queensland.
- Standardise assets where possible and create a familiarity of use for Qld Health Clinicians; in addition
- Achieve the best value for money.
