"The length of data that requires filtering for Area C has been changed. A recalculation has shown that the length has reduced to 2050km’s. This amendment has been highlighted in Section 5.0 OFFER POINTS in Area C Offer Points #7-9."

TMR is undertaking a state-wide freight planning study which requires survey data of the existing road features. Approximately 6,000km of MLS data has been collected on the existing road network. TMR is looking for an accurate and efficient data processing tool that will assist in identifying any constraints for oversize vehicle movements.

TMR envisages that it will be a two-staged process to convert existing Pointcloud data into the required information:

  1. A filtered pointcloud dataset
  2. Spatial string data that represents the road edge extents and line marking on the collected roads

TMRGT1501 will assist in the provision for:

  • Assessment and Permitting of Over Size Vehicles by Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads
  • To inform design / planning areas of the department on future spending and concepts
  • The objectives of TMRGT1501 is to procure:
  • A filtered pointcloud dataset of approximately 6,000km of previously collected data
  • Spatial string data that represents the road edge extents and line marking of the collected road network

If you require a sample pointcloud dataset, please contact John Allsopp on [phone hidden] or email [email hidden]
