Description
The Department of Environment and Science (DES) is seeking to engage a Supplier with skills in community and stakeholder engagement, sustainability assessment, decarbonisation options analysis, and business case development.
This project will investigate and develop a range of decarbonisation and resilience opportunities with three (3) GBR island communities, to support pathways to a prosperous low-carbon and resilient future. The geographic coverage of this pilot is a minimum of three (3) selected islands in the GBR catchment. Palm Island, Magnetic Island, and Masig (Yorke) Island in the Torres Strait.
There are six (6) key tasks to be undertaken for each of the three (3) islands:
1 Sustainability audit/assessment and reporting
2 Options analysis/opportunity identification and rating, based on the findings from the audit process
3 Options analysis review, workshops and forums
4 Business case development, based on the findings of the sustainability assessment and options analysis review
5 Business case evaluation workshops
6 Final reporting and presentation
