Gladstone Aids to Navigation Maintenance - 2016

The Queensland Government is seeking tenders to undertake the maintenance work to 76 maritime aids to navigation at the Port of Gladstone.

The major items included in the Works are as follows:

1. Collect Principal supplied beacon components from Gladstone MSQ Operations Base and transport to their respective work sites.
2. Supply M20 insulated galvanized bolts including nuts and washers for platform connection to pile caps.
3. Supply M16 insulated galvanized bolts including nuts and washers for top ladder connection to platform.
4. Supply M16 galvanized bolts including nuts and washers for ladder connection to clamps and ladder splice connections.
5. Supply additional M20 galvanized bolts including nuts and washers for ladder clamps.
6. Remove existing and install Principal supplied ladder sections as per schedule of works.
7. Remove existing and install Principal supplied ladder clamps as per schedule of works.
8. Remove existing pile cap, trim top of pile and install Principal supplied pile cap plates as per schedule of works.
9. Supply and install corrosion protection system to replacement pile caps with Denso Steelcoat 100 protection system or approved equivalent.
10. Replace M20 galvanized bolts connecting platform to pile caps to all navigation aids in the schedule of works.
11. Replace M16 galvanized bolts connecting ladder to platform to all navigation aids in the schedule of works.
12. Replace M16 galvanized bolts connecting ladder to clamps and ladder splice connections to all navigation aids in the schedule of works.
13. Patch painting of piles and pile cap plates as per schedule of works.
