Description

The Corporate Administration Agency (CAA) is working on behalf of the State Library of Queensland (SLQ) in this instance.

Suitably qualified offerors are invited to tender for the modification & manufacture of High End Joinery to specification, then provide installation services as specified by no later than 21 January 2011 (prior to the early February 2011 opening of the space).

As detailed in the “Additional Provisions to Offer” tender document the entire installation period is to be completed when the space is closed for a period of (5 days) 17-21 January 2011 (to minimise interruption to the this public access area, as SLQ is open 364 days per year).

Works will be at the State Library of Queensland, Level 4 - John Oxley Library, Stanley Street, South Brisbane QLD 4101.

Additional to these tendered works, SLQ will also be coordinating tender ‘SLQ 005/2011 Hall of Fame Refurbishment Works’, and additional electrical & lamp works to be completed concurrently in the same location as part of the overall project and offerors’ need to be aware of this.

Note: As both tenders (SLQ 004/2011 and SLQ 005/2011) are being opened to the market concurrently, please ensure you refer to the correct Mandatory Industry Briefing times as they are both being held on the same day and timed consecutively. Offeror’s who wish to attend both, need to register for both.

Specification/Drawings: There is a combined set of specification/drawings for both tenders (SLQ 004/2011 & SLQ 005/2011). Offeror’s need to read the tender documents clearly & refer to the specific drawings relating to that particular component of Works &/or confirm if anything is unclear.

Questions: It is preferred that any questions be emailed to the CAA contact prior to the briefing, so SLQ can prepare a response and address these topics at the briefing.

Industry Briefing (Mandatory) – Attendance Information
To ensure all offers are submitted in accordance with the requirements, offerors are invited to the Mandatory Industry Briefing at 10:00am on Wednesday, 8 September 2010 at the State Library of Queensland (SLQ), Level 4 Fox Family Reading Room, Stanley Street, South Brisbane QLD 4101, which will be followed by a work site inspection of the space.

IMPORTANT: Offerors are to be ready outside the meeting room preferably at 9:50am & no later than 10:00am ready for briefing commencement. Those who fail to attend by 10:00am may have entry rejected. This is to ensure briefing is conducted on time & is fair to all offerors.

Only offerors’ who attend this industry briefing, will be eligible to submit an Offer for evaluation. Refer to page 1 of the 'Additional Provisions to Offer' document for full details regarding the briefing and your attendance advice required by CAA.

Car Parking: Car parking for attendance to this briefing is the Offerors’ responsibility.
Cultural Centre - with respect to the Cultural Centre precinct there are parking stations (either on-site or locally) available at a reasonable rate payable by the Offeror and within close walking distance to the meeting point.

Time Allowance: Offeror’s should allow approx. 1 hour for the briefing meeting & site inspection and be ready for meeting commencement as specified in the tender documentation.
