WA Department of Transport
Energy Consultant for Management of Embedded Networks
Details
Description
The Department of Transport (DoT) manages Embedded Electrical Networks across its facilities, ensuring the supply and distribution of electricity to tenants and operations.
Recent changes in the energy market, including the emergence of contestable energy market thresholds and the withdrawal of Synergy’s S1 tariff, have created new challenges for managing these networks.
To address these developments, the DoT is aligning its operations with the Electricity Act, the AES framework (AES) and the AES Embedded Network Code of Practice (Code).
The purpose of this work is to engage a qualified energy Consultant to support DoT in navigating these regulatory and market changes, provide guidance on appropriate tariffs and billing processes, ensuring DoT balances the requirement to be aligned with regulation and achieves cost recovery.
