Particulars
The Government has committed to trialing noise cameras in the Bayside and Wollongong local government areas in response to anti-social behaviour involving noisy vehicles and reckless driving that poses a risk to environmental amenity. Vehicle noise cameras technology is being used in some overseas jurisdictions but are implemen ted in ways to meet the specific legislative and infrastructure requirements in those jurisdictions.
