Description
The Corporate Administration Agency (CAA) is acting on behalf of the State Library of Queensland (SLQ) for this matter.
SLQ is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to supply, install, integrate and support an audio-visual solution to create the Real Time digital wall in the kuril dhagun space at the State Library of Queensland (SLQ), Level 1, Stanley Street, South Brisbane.
The contractor is to supply & install of 9 x 46” (116cm) Slim Bezel LCD screens including associated equipment, cabinetry and other electrical requirements as specified. The project outcome will be a 3 x 3 configured video wall mounted within a dummy wall to provide the appearance the screens sit flush to on the face view side.
The screens are to be of a commercial grade ensuring maximum reliability, life span and performance.
The following is a snapshot of the specified project requirements:
1. Supply, install & integrate 9 x 46” slim bezel LCD screens;
2. Cabinetry works involving construction of the surrounding dummy wall to house the digital wall (including painting, finishing and all required electrical services); and
3. On-going maintenance & support for the video wall for specified period.
It is a highly desirable requirement of this tender that a sole Contractor provides the full supply, installation, cabinetry, electrical and on-going maintenance & support services.
The project will be required to be completed within a 2 week period to commence Monday 27 June 2011 with completion no later than Friday 8 July 2011 (to minimise interruption to the public access area, as SLQ is open 364 days per year).

To ensure all tenders are submitted in accordance with the requirements, tenderers are invited to the Mandatory Industry Briefing at 10:00am on Monday, 11 April 2011 at the State Library of Queensland, Kuril Dhagun space, Level 1, Stanley Street, South Brisbane QLD 4101, which will be followed by a work site inspection.
IMPORTANT: Refer to page 5 of the Additional Provisions to Tender for Small Scale Minor Works document for full details regarding the briefing and your attendance advice required by CAA. The attached MIB meeting room map showing entrance via left hand side of building.
No Cultural Centre car parking available for this Mandatory Industry Briefing: Unfortunately due to the flood recovery still in effect in the Cultural Centre car parks, it will be unlikely that car parking will be available at the Cultural Centre for this briefing. The nearby Brisbane Convention Centre is in operation with entry via Melbourne & Merivale Streets, South Brisbane.
