Economic and Tourism Impact Reports for Major Events

Your organisation is invited to submit a response and associated fees for the provision of economic and tourism impact reports on major events.

The major event functions listed in the Tourism and Events Queensland Act2012 are:

• Contribute to the Queensland economy;
• Attract visitors to Queensland;
• Enhance the profile of Queensland; and
• Foster community pride.

These functions, together with a commitment to achieve economic and social benefits for Queensland, will underpin TEQ’s performance reporting from February 2022 onwards.

Tourism and Events Queensland's overall objective is to determine the economic and tourism impact of the major events (includes arts and cultural, sport and business events) in which it invests.

A highly skilled provider/s who can demonstrate expertise in the performance of economic analysis of events (including the ability to so for a competitive pricing structure) is sought for this purpose.
