Queensland Rail is an integrated passenger and rail infrastructure business and, through
the Travel and Tourism division, operates six long distance and two tourist rail services
under the Queensland Rail Travel brand. The network is bounded to the north by Cairns,
to the south by Brisbane and to the west by Longreach, Charleville and Mount Isa.
Queensland Rail plays an important role in connecting regional Queensland and offers
the largest and most comprehensive network of long distance and tourist trains in
Australia.
There are over 70 rail services each week with more than 760,000 customer journeys
each year.

Queensland Rail, Travel and Tourism is seeking to replace its two current travel booking
systems with a single, existing and proven out-of-the-box (OTB) travel reservation
system that meets the organisation’s business and functional requirements with minimal
or no customisation.
