Fremantle Harbour - Mews Promenade Public Realm Design Options

DoT Maritime seeks the services of an experienced landscape architecture consultant to help bring the vision for Mews Promenade in Fremantle Harbours to reality. The aspiration for the current project streetscape is its transformation into an inclusive, safe and inspiring public domain, a space that not only fosters the contemporary regeneration of the harbours, but which also attracts the community to stay in a distinctive and historic part of the city, not just to visit as a popular waterfront destination. The consultant will lead a public realm-oriented options process that involves the framing of a range of initial concepts, evaluation of an options short list (with advice from other specialist consultants) and then development of up to two preferred design options to be costed and included in DoT’s business case. The landscape architect team will be central to the Mews Promenade project, collaborating with DoT’s other consultants, partner agencies and key stakeholders to align parties around a preferred concept design, with strategic adaptations, which will then be taken forward as part of the project’s urban renewal investment case.
