Description

Particulars

The Surface Water Science team requires professional services to develop a model to predict thermal stratification and dissolved oxygen concentrations in the Menindee weir pool on the Darling River. The model will use hydrologic and meteorological parameters to predict the risks to fish health based on thermal stratification, dissolved oxygen and mixing of surface and bottom waters. The outcome will be an easy-to-use model to predict mass fish deaths and guide operational procedures at Menindee Lakes. This project is part of the NSW government response to the Chief Scientists and Engineers recommendations following the mass fish deaths in Menindee.
