NPWS Roads & Fire Trail Condition Assessment System - PROC3829

NPWS will require a recording system that captures videos of the road network surface, width, GPS location, gradient and roughness for post processing & analysis of defects and conditions. The information captured will be used for preliminary fire trail upgrade and design process and furthermore as part of tender package in particular remote areas where it is difficult to access by the tender respondents for quote purpose. NPWS will need this system by its operational staff to use and access daily and cover the vast network of its road and trial coverage. Hence the solution needs to be available everyday during the whole duration of the contract and have a quick turnaround for maintenance and repair. The instigation of this project is escalated by Fire Trail Standards which requires to assess its Fire Trail network for condition and accessibility annually and also by the Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and Audit Office NSW which requires to financially revalue the Access Asset
