Description

The Department of Education (the Department) is seeking to establish a Panel of training providers to the deliver teacher training in Protective Behaviours. There may also be a requirement to deliver workshops to parents and community stakeholders to inform them about the Department’s Protective Behaviours progam. Teacher training in Protective Behaviours is required as part of the Department’s implementation strategy to meet the recommendations of the Gordon Inquiry into family violence and child abuse in Aboriginal Communities in Western Australia (2002) and the Blaxell Inquiry into child sexual abuse perpetrated in country high school hostels (2012).

The Department envisages appointing a Panel of two Contractors; however the Department also reserves all rights to select and maintain a Panel as per the General Conditions (August 2012).
