Release of up to 15 General Licences with Special Conditions that will provide priority service to people with disabilities.

Licences to which this Tender and Application apply are subject to certain terms and conditions determined by the Passenger Transport in accordance with Section 45(5) of the Passenger Transport Act, 1994. The operators of these licences must commit to providing a priority service to people with disabilities. The taxis to which these licences relate must be capable of carrying passengers using wheelchairs and other similar mobility aids. The licences carry additional conditions on the minimum standards of design and capacity of the taxis as well as special arrangements for providing a priority service to people with disabilities. To assist in the provision of dedicated services the PTB has determined that vehicles attached to these Licences are not permitted to be connected to a second radio network. The PTB has determined that these licences cannot be leased, however this determination does not apply to the form of dealing with a vehicle known as shift leasing. Tenders must be submitted on a prescribed form obtained from the PTB, 10th floor, 136 North Terrace, Adelaide. A tender lodgement fee of $23.00 applies to each tender. Tender forms must be completed and placed in the Tender Envelope provided by the PTB, together with a bank cheque payable to the Passenger Transport Board for the tender lodgement fee. Tender forms not accompanied by the Tender Lodgement Fee will not be considered.
