Disability Discrimination ACT (DDA) Station Upgrades - Minor Works (Claisebrook, Mt Lawley, Maylands)

The PTA Intends to upgrade its stations to be compliant with Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Disability Standards Accessible Public Transport 2002 (DSAPT). According to the standard, the stations, concourse, pathways, stairs, handrail etc would have specific tactiles and luminance contrast to provide supports people with disabilities. The PTA have initiated a project titled ?? Disability Discrimination ACT (DDA) Station Upgrades - Minor Works? to carry out minor modification of the existing stations to comply with current standards. This will be for minor modification works at three stations of Midland line, namely Claisebrook, Mount Lawley and Maylands. The contractor needs to engage with stakeholders, develop Safety Management Plan (SMP), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) to perform the works during operating and non-operating rail system, submit schedule of works to be done for PTA?s reviewal, seek for work permits, submit the work completion certificate, complete the documentation and procedure required for Entry Into Service (EIS), Final Asset Acceptance(FAA) and Defects rectification according to PTA document 8110-100-013 - Engineering Management for Project (EM4P), as required.
