RFP - Design and Construct Contract for the Construction of the Kwinana Freeway Southbound Widening from Armadale Road to Russell Road.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The project involves the investigation, design and construction of an additional traffic lane along Kwinana Freeway southbound from Armadale Road to Russell Road.

• Prequalification: Tenderers must be prequalified with National Roadworks Category R4 or Higher and; Bridgework Category B2 or Higher.

• National Code of Practice: The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, in conjunction with the Building Code 2013, applies to this project. The Building Code document is available at employment.gov.au/building-code.

• The Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme: It is a requirement of this project that the persons contracted to undertake the building work be

  accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme, established by the Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2012, at the time of entering into

  the contract for the building work and while the building work is being carried out.*

  * Regulation 24(h) of the Fair Work (Building Industry - Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2005 outlines provisions applying to joint venture/alliance arrangements that include accredited and unaccredited builders.
