Lead Design Consultancy Services for the Escalator Replacement Project; Perth Underground and Esplanade Stations

PTA intends to engage an escalator supplier, with several years’ experience in similar projects, under an ECI Contract. The appointed Supplier will be required to work with the PTA’s appointed Lead Design Consultants (LDC) in order to address the risks associated with the disassembly, removal, delivery, installation and commissioning of replacement escalators within restricted platform envelopes and an electrified operating rail environment.

Services to be provided by the Consultant for the Escalator Replacements in Perth Underground and Esplanade Stations (the Project) shall be to a standard of a professional practising engineering consultant described in summary as follows:

Stage 1

1. Design Brief (including review and verification of project definition work done to date)
2. Schematic design in conjunction with an ECI Contractor.
3. Design Development in conjunction with an ECI Contractor.
4. Support services during development of the D&C Estimate and subsequent D&C Price.

Stage 2 – Services may be Novated to the ECI D&C Contractor

1. Construction Documentation and support services.

2. Support services during construction and defects liability period.
