Description
The aims of this project are to:
- Articulate the reach that sport and recreation has into the economy and the community in Western Australia.
- Using recognised methodologies and reliable data sources, discuss and calculate a value of the economic activities and social benefits that can be:
- Directly attributed to the sport and recreation sector; and
- Reasonably attributed to, or associated with, sport and recreation.
- Produce a report that will be used by DSR and other government agencies to inform future business cases and enable sound investment decisions in the WA sport and recreation sector.
- Build an engaging and persuasive case to key stakeholders to encourage investment and participation in the sector.
