Woodside led the development of the LNG industry in Australia and is applying this same pioneering spirit to solving future energy challenges.


As Australia’s leading natural gas producer, Woodside operated 5% of global LNG supply in 2021.


Together with joint venture participants, Woodside is progressing a number of opportunities to develop new gas resources through proven LNG facilities in the Pilbara, Western Australia.


This involves the development of the Scarborough and Browse offshore gas fields, together with a number of onshore expansion and third-party processing opportunities that use the existing Pluto LNG and North West Shelf facilities.


Building on Woodside’s more than 30 years of operating experience,, these projects will ensure the continued supply of domestic gas and LNG energy supply, and provide significant ongoing employment and local content opportunities.


Internationally, Woodside is progressing the Sangomar Field Development Phase 1 in Senegal and Timor-Leste/Australia (Sunrise).
