The Panel is seeking to appoint an economic advisor to assist it identify the efficiency and effectiveness of theTasmanian electricity market and to assess the potential impact of changes in market structure and regulatory arrangements on the economic performance of theTasmanian electricity system. The assignment will also develop qualitative and quantitative advice in relation to the outlook of prices in Tasmania, particularly (but not limited to) the impact of carbon pricing on Tasmanian wholesale energy costs.
