SAHA-0170 Felixstow Civil Construction Stage 3, 4 & 5

The South Australian Housing Authority (“the Authority”) is seeking to secure a sole contractor to undertake Stages 3, 4 & 5 civil construction services in Felixstow as part of the Neighbourhood Renewal Initiative (“the Program”).

The Program aims to replace ageing South Australian Housing Trust homes with new homes, creating better social housing, increasing choice and creating Jobs.

The project is bounded by Langman Grove to the north, Briar Road to the west, Fraser Avenue to the south and Shirley Avenue to the east.

The successful tenderer will be engaged to complete civil and service works as per the technical specifications as outlined in Part B of the tender documents and is expected to comply with the requirements of Council and other service authorities.

Civil design plans (technical specifications) have been prepared for Stage 3 whilst Stages 4 and 5 are still being developed. It is expected that the rates proposed for Stage 3 will be the same for Stages 4 and 5.

The successful tenderer will be engaged through the:

• Instrument of Agreement. Refer to Part C (tender documents) – Document 1; and
• South Australian Housing Trust Standard Conditions of Contract for the Provision of Works (Civil, Landscaping and Minor Building) Agreement. Refer to Part C (tender documents) – Document 2; and
• South Australian Housing Trust Special Conditions of Contract for the Provision of Works (Civil, Landscaping and Minor Building) Agreement. Refer to Part C (tender documents) – Document 3.

It is expected that the successful tenderer will be engaged to complete the civil works over a 12-month period, with an option to extend for a further 6 months.
