Description

Between 28 September and 4 October, 2016 storm events caused significant damage to the Gawler River Floodplain. These floodwaters greatly affected a number of primary industries, namely broadacre and greenhouse production. To enable swift and appropriate clean-up of the affected primary production properties, PIRSA is coordinating waste disposal of approximately 250 properties within the flood scar, covering an area of 1500 hectares. PIRSA is seeking a suitable provider for these services.

PIRSA requires a contractor to safely and promptly load identified organic and inorganic waste (other than top soil) that has originated from the Gawler River Floodplain 2016 flood event (flooding of the Gawler and Light Rivers), from primary production properties and transport the waste to a PIRSA designated waste disposal facility for lawful disposal.

Tenderers are required to:

  • Provide a methodology on how this service will be performed. Tipper vehicles (Tipper trucks or Skip bins that can be tipped to be emptied) must be used in the methodology proposed. All methodologies should include how all transport systems are to be loaded. A methodology will include how the service will be conducted in a timely manner (estimated to be complete within 1 month).
