The Australian Bureau of Meteorology (the Bureau) is seeking tenders from suppliers to provide and maintain a high capacity (50Mbps+) data communications link to transfer data between the Bureau's remote satellite receiving station at the CPHRF, at a distance of approximately 65km south-east of Darwin, near the Adelaide River/Fogg Dam conservation area, and the Bureau's NTRO at 13 Scaturchio Street, Casuarina, Northern Territory.
The link is to be supplied, installed and fully maintained by the successful tenderer, for a period of up to 10 years. It may utilise any technology (e.g. fibre, ATM, frame relay, microwave link, etc.) provided it meets the specified capacity, availability and interfacing requirements.
